Lagos State House of Assembly Member, Kazeem Alimi is dead. The lawmaker, who represented Eti Osa Constituency 1 in the Assembly died Yesterday Tuesday (July 18th 2017) just two weeks after his 50th birthday after brief illness.
A statement by Musbau Razak, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, confirmed that the late lawmaker died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).
Report confirms that He was in the Critical Care Unit at LASUTH for four days until he died. A two time lawmaker, Hon Alimi Kazeem until his death, was the Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftain Affairs.
In-house source said Alimi kazeem had been sick immediately he marked his 50th birthday two weeks ago and never recovered from the illness.
Alimi Kazeem was born on 3 July, 1967. He started his education at Moba Community Primary School, Moba, Eti-Osa.
He attended Government College, Maroko, Eti-Osa and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Economics from the Lagos State University, LASU.
The deceased had over the years worked with the Lagos State House of Assembly, 1992-2001; Lagos Internal Revenue Service, as Head, CPO, 2001-2010; Lagos State House of Assembly, 2011-2015 and until his death, a lawmaker in the House.
Alimi Ademola Kazeem is survived by his wife and children.
