Linkin Park have officially cancelled their North American ‘One More Light’ tour following the death of lead singer, Chester Bennington, who was found dead his private apartment on Thursday at 09:00 local time (17:00 GMT).
Live Nation Promoters said refunds would be made available to all ticket-holders for the tour, which was due to begin on the 27th of July which is next Thursday.
A spokesman for the company added: “We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Chester Bennington.”
The Los Angeles County Coroner said the 41 year-old singer, and a father of six, hanged himself on Thursday (July 20th).
He had previously struggled with addiction and had once spoken in an interview with BBCNews about depression and suicide.
The Linkin Park band made the decision just a day after their lead singer, Chester Bennington died.
Linkin Park band was formed in 1996, sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and have won two Grammy Awards.
